    Finishing up my slider build!

I have the sliders built, but I haven't cut or attached the posts to the frame/sliders.

    My questions are....

Installing on third gen access cab

I'm assuming I want this as close to the pinch weld as possible, then tilt it upwards until it hits the door. Back off 1/2 from open door and tac into place.

I'm also assuming I want it sticking out far enough that it is the "widest" part of the body. Doesn't need to be by much, but it needs to be slightly out. Is this correct? Or should I stick out further?

If anyone had measurements for how far from the frame they extend I'd love to know to get an idea how I want to line mine up!

    I'll post some pics soon

Something like this is what I'm thinking, just need to snug it up to the body before measuring angle/distance to frame and cutting the supports

Second option is to sit just outside the pinchweld like this, then angle upward.

I'll get some pics and measurements of my westcott designs bolt on sliders to give you some references. Should have them tomorrow afternoon if the weather eases up. You want to give your sliders enough clearance to allow for some frame and body mount flex, 1/2" may or may not be enough.

Measured about 3/4" of space between the height of the inner rail and the pinch weld. Slight variation along the length of the rai. The inner/main tube is spaced just outside the pinch weld.

Again, apologies for the massive delay.

    That's perfect, thanks!

I think I'm going to try and source a bolt-on style plate from a local fabricator, bolt it up, then weld mine to the plate.

What kind of tubing did you use?
    How thick was the tube?
