    Hey Guys,

So on my last truck (Chevy Colorado) I wanted the OEM look for the roof rack on my canopy so I took the same rack that was on the truck and customized it to fit the canopy. I am looking to do the same thing on my Tacoma but I can't decide what to do. I like the way the FJ roof rack looks and I found a killer deal on one but it doesn't really go with the stock roof rack on the truck. I found another rack from a Sequoia that matched a little better but isn't as good of a deal.

The reason that I am going with a rack from an FJ or Sequoia over one from a 4runner or something else is becasue of weight distribution. These two racks have 3 contact points and will distribute the weight better than racks with 2 contact points.

Which do you guys think would look better?

I have seen that but it seems that most racks do. The bars are all metal but most of the bases are made out of some type of plastic or composit material.

Seqouia rack looks like it matches the OEM Tacoma rack better. FJ rack looks like it would be a pain in the ass to reangle the legs so they contour with your cap. Even a good bit of fj owners change out the stock rack since it isn't all that great.
