So i have been putting on new leaf springs and new shocks. It has been one pain after another.. got to my friends house today only to learn that when he was cutting off the u bolts to the leaf springs he accidentaly hit the left side hard break line and cut it in half. my question is where can i get a replacement line? right now we have rigged on a line that we got frome advance auto. it is working good but i do want to replace with one that is bent correctly. Any help will be appreicated.

    2 suggestions

First one is keep all sharp/moving tools away from your buddy !! (how in the hell do you cut the hardline while cutting off U bolts ??:notsure::notsure:)

& 2, if you want to save some bucks, go to a wrecking yard & if you DO find one there, buy a spray can of brake parts cleaner (carb & choke cleaner will do also) & spray it out real good & blow it out with air if you can to dry the inside...;)

It's an 89 Toyota Pickup. I got some stuff done to it.. FJ axles going under it soon.
    How do you manage that?

and what line do you need?
Are the lines bent the same on 6 lug axles?

If so..I got a line sitting outside on an extra 5 lug axle I have..

As long as the replacement line is tucked away from obstacles, leave it.

Not really tucked away that good. one line was too short and the other one was too long so i had to put a few more bends to take up slack.
