Bought a Tacoma OEM bed mat tonight, ended up finding a long bed version so i thought i could just cut it down to fit the short bed. I was right, very easy to do with a straight edge and a utility knife. Couldnt pass up $45 bucks for a OEM Tacoma Bed Mat

Measured the bed, 5 foot from end to end

made my cut mark at 5 foot all the way across with the straight edge

then cut, only took 3 to 4 passes with the utility knife to get through the thick rubber material

Finished up by cutting the tabs straight where the wheel well finishes on the long beds.

Finished product, no more sliding around crap in the back bed! [IMG]

No mud flaps, plasti dipped emblems, and rear bumper, Weather tech digital fit, Bed mat from tractor supply. Pioneer 4400BH head unit. B.A.M.F bed rail tie downs. AVS vent visors.
    looks good!

I did the same thing kinda. But i got a stall mat from tractor supply for $40 and it’s 2x thicker. (it’s almost as tall as the D rings are when they are standing up)Cut a 1’ off the end and cut to fit around wheel wells. i’d say it’s 85# or so. There site says it’s like 110 but - a little i cut off, I’ll say it’s a bitch to put back in by my self.

the weight is not the problem it’s the fact it bends/flexes so much.

I have a long bed mat in my short bed. I did not cut it and let the "extra" lay up against the cab side. It does not hurt anything and provides extra protection. The mat does not move around as the wheel well cut outs still hold it in place.
