i am thinking about cutting the exhaust right after it turns down over the rear axle. will there be enough support or will i have to put an exhaust hanger there. thanks in advance.

it should be enough to support since its not that long or heavy but i would still look into getting a support on the end

yeah i chopped mine but i did it in front of the axle right at the support for the muffler and i like it but if you have any length of pipe i would get some sort of bracket for it so you dont stress the hangers and welds next to the muffler

If it is up under the truck now why do you need a tip? Is it even visible without crawling under it?
