CV axle advice

    For most people the boot wears out from lifting it, but there are certainly people who snap axles - usually on those who are attempting the harder trails like the Rubicon or can't control the throttle (i.e. "when in doubt, throttle out" lol). Then you get into the whole debate about front lockers or open diffs and which is more likely to break a CV. There are legitimate arguments on both sides, but it basically just comes down to driving style.

    So, if you're running a lot of moderate to harder trails, bring a spare, and know how to change it.

    If snapping axles becomes habitual, it's probably time to think about a solid axle...
