Afraid there is no white label.. that’s from the flash of my camera + flash light. From what I could tell I couldn’t see any markings on the coil’s themselves. I’ll go look again.

And Damn eon_blue….Good to know about the fins :/

    No dice for both huh?

I'd venture to say you're probably running 883's based on that ride height.

Anyone near you from the forum that could test drive your truck?

This white tag here, it gets folded up inside the spring and should say what kind of coil it is

unless it ripped/broke off at the end

Yeah that's the one I was referring to.

    OME always labels their coils.

I'll throw in my 2 cents - I lifted my Tacoma 2.5" at about 30k miles, inner boot failed at 60k. I repaired with Toyota boot kit (PITA). From then on every time I washed the truck I sprayed the boots with silicone spray. I'm still running the same boots from 60k miles, currently at 275k miles. Can't say for sure it's the silicone but can't hurt. I got the spray at Autozone, just generic silicone spray to lubricate rubber.

Damn, you're running a 650lb coil with no added weight.

No wonder you're so high and riding stiff.

again… I bought the truck like this!! I actually managed to get ahold of the guy who sold me the truck / did the lift. Though he hasn’t been too helpful…maybe this can add to the mystery and possible solution.

“3 inch old man emu lift , just the base lift.. if adding a bumper it will lower the front by 1/2 inch or so or you can get the added weight springs to compensate up front , same with the back .. if you add a bumper or tow alot you will need the add a leaf for the rear”

so curious, do you guys think putting on lighter springs in the front will help with the rubbing…? What about when I add the bumper & winch? I was realistically
Hoping to do that shortly into the new year.

Unless you already bought the stuff, I would just recommend replacing the coils.

Don't rush into buying stuff you don't even need just to compensate for the coils that are currently installed.

That'll cost you more money and headache in the long run versus just replacing your coils.

I get what your saying…I wanted to upgrade to a tube bumper and winch regardless, just saving the $$ to do that right now. Just figured I won’t be financially ready for that until the new year. I guess my question is..what coils WOULD you suggest with the information I have already givin? And if I did in fact add a bumper and winch, would I have to install new coils as well to help with the CV angle, still you think..? And again, can you personally suggest what coils you think I should be considering?

I know this is a lot of responses. I am paying very close attention and I am saving my own notes :) Also if you stop responding cause your getting tired of my questions I will completely understand lol!!! Thanks endlessly..

880s give minimal lift, though I'm not sure how much on OME shocks... 0.75" from what I'm reading?

    881s give 2.0"

Again this is all from a simple search online.

I never ran OME shocks or coils.

    K. Thinking I may just reach out to OME myself and see if they can give me some advice / suggestions with the info I’ve acquired through you guys and from the numbers I pulled from the lift itself.

So just to clarify… the white tag I sent a photo of. That implies I have 882 coils.. ya? I tried searching myself but couldn’t find much Maybe I’m not searching the right criteria.

882s are 500# coils, 883s are the 600# ones. The 882s are tall though and meant to provide up to 3" lift on a stock front end. I think op would be better suited with 881s

The quick online search failed me, but yeah I was in line with recommending 881.

Ya 881s are also 500# but won't be as tall, mine gave a hair under 2" lift. Never had any CV issues with them, that all started after the Kings went on and I preloaded them too much
