You need to replace the cv axle, the needle bearing, and the seal at a minimum

This is probably one of those situations where pulling the front diff fully apart and checking parts for damage ans cleaning everything up is warranted. That is if you want to use 4WD. That or convert to 2WD.

That and also correcting/replacing the front coilovers that likely caused the CV joint to pull out in the first place.

WTF!!! Coil overs? YouTube never said anything about that!
    I don't need a 4x4 cause I have a Jeep
But it's stupid to have a 4x4 and not use it....I think I'll drain and flush it out, put it back together when my finger heals after ripping my nail off with the little sledge hammer. Thanks for your input guys ✌️

Those are needles from the needle bearing. You 1000% can't put it back together without a new bearing, axle and seal.

    Well.. theres your issue :D

Looks like the needle bearing has come apart. And I think the thing on the right is spring from the seal?

General rule of thumb is that you can't install anything over a 3" lift without a diff drop kit, without risking torn CV boots, and such as your case, the CV pulling out. You have a 4+" lift, so this could happen again once you fix the CV, if you don't reduce the lift back to something more reasonable with coilover modification.

I didn't even know I had a 4" lift. Would it be hard to drop it down a inch or so?

Reread the posts from BKinzey and myself on the second page. If it's a spacer lift, you could pull or replace the spacer with a smaller one. If that works, you will also need to replace the rear leaf spring block with a shorter one, unless you like the rake.

That whole front diff has to come out. It’s probably destroyed from contamination and lack of gear lube.

Agree with @hx989 Why would you even RISK "filling it with oil and driving it" if you KNOW for a fact you have contamination in your diff??? Like you WANT a timebomb in your front diff or what?

Similar thing happened to me with my needle bearing. Replaced the seal, got a ECGS bearing and fished out the metal shavings with a magnet. Then I cycled new diff oil in and out while driving in 4wd on jack stands to get all the small stuff out. If the CV is scored where it rubbed against the diff you should replace that. You can pull the diff if you want but I dont think its necessary. Shouldnt need to do anything to the suspension.

Fix it or pull both axles.. The bright mark is from the lower control arm bolt, save the outer CV's you'll need to put both sides back in if you don't fix it.

I finally got my CV axle in, put a Yukon bearing in, lower control arms...had to sawzall them out new tie rod, sway bar link and a Caliper cause I put a hole in the hard line when trying to get axle in...when I tried to bleed brake I broke the bleeder in the caliper. Now I'm in the process of putting a bull bar with LEDs fog lights and switches! Still have 3 finger nails healing after hitting with them with the mallet! But my differential is good! Fingers crossed I don't fry my ECU
