So im pretty sure the the Toyota part number is 90304-A0001. What im really interested in is an aftermarket version, something I can order from Amazon or rock auto. Ive been looking at pictures of seals for about an hour now I cannot figure out which one is for the cv axle and which is for the back side of the wheel hub. None look exactly like what im seeing on my axle.

First thing it looks like you have a 1st gen but posted in the 2nd gen section. May want to have the thread moved over there:

Second, I strongly suggest to get the OEM seal. Better quality, will possibly outlast doing an aftermarket seal twice over. They don't cost much and you can order them online from many sources.

I have many Toyota’s, this is about a 2nd gen Tacoma. I’m aware of the difference in quality but I don’t see a reason to spend $45 on a $10 seal in this particular instance. Besides rockauto is fast, My local Toyota dealer sucks, and I’m a bit pressed for time. I ended up just ordering both inner and outer wheel seals from rock auto and they should be here on Monday. I can regear the rear diff while I wait for the parts to finish up the front.

90304-A0001 is the correct P/N for the dust seal on birfield CV joint. No aftermarket P/N available last I checked. I did some searching in 2022 when my RCV axles came in missing those dust seals.

The one that goes on the inboard side of the knuckle has several aftermarket P/Ns. I used National 710573. Also available under Timken branding. (Figure a seal from a bearing manufacturer is reliable enough.) https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=1927206&cc=0&pt=1860&jsn=1

The "outer" seal on Rock Auto is the one between the hub and the wheel bearing. This one is usually included if you buy a hub-bearing assy with the captive bolts, etc. https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=1146628&cc=3354143&pt=1860&jsn=433&optionchoice=0-0-1-1

Wrong part number for a second generation seal. I have it at home and can post if you still need the part number.

@zippsub9 do you by chance have that seal part number handy for a 4wd 2nd gen?
