CV Axle movement

    A few bolts are different.
    well......I dont have a torque wrench but i know the bolt is tight via the 18" breaker bar I used to tighten the spindle bolt and the uca bolt.


    over kill??

    lol.... That might have been a little over kill! I gotta me a torque wrench too. I could tell how tight I needed it, bc it was 100Lbs when we first install them, with my buddies torque wrench.

    Well I just disassembled and reassembled both UCA for the piece of mind knowing that I did it the right way for sure. The popping still had not showed back up but the bushing that I relieved some grease out of generated a leak around the washer. I figured rebuild one, may as well do them all.

    Should I look into buying new bushings since that one started leaking or is this normal after relieving pressure off of them?

    Ever since I broke my torque wrench, I have been useing the 2' cheater. I have a "Grr" scale. 100ft-lbs is 1 "Grr" on the cheater bar. =/- 100 ft- lbs. :D

    By "leak" you mean grease is leaking around them? If so, thats fine. All of mine have grease seeping from around them.

    Yep that's what it is.

    So grease seeping is ok, just no buldges. Got it.

    Update: Still no noises after I rebuilt the UCA's. I must have phucked up on the first install.

    Well today I started to here a squeek, I think its from my bushings. I didnt put much grease in the zerks. So I put a couple more shots of grease in the zerks hoping that cures the problem. But I didnt want to put too much like before, so I only did a couple to 3 shots of grease.

    Have you had this before chris?

    Hard to tell, but I dont remember my front axel ever being that loose.....
