Rancho 2" leveling kit Torch add-a-leaf (rear)
    Hey Guys & Gals,....
New here and trying to find some answers....2.5 years ago,(and about 10,000 miles use), I had a Rancho 2" leveling kit installed,..and a year later a Torch add-a-leaf in the rear. Since then,2 new CV axles on the drivers side, and the to be the 3rd on the passenger side. So,finally decided to install 2 Trackmotive extended travel cv axles. The axles weren't making any noise because of failure. It is just the outside boots nearest the wheel keep tearing....I'm disappointed, because Rancho advertises,..."works with existing components,no other modifications needed..." Also,I have read,..the folds in the boots are not supposed to rub against one another. Well, the folds on the new Trakmotive axles do contact one another in one place nearest the wheel. Are these boots (thermoplastic) doomed for failure too? I have tried looking for photos that show boots,..even looked under a newer Tacoma,..and indeed, there was one fold touching another...Maybe this is not a concern? The answer I read about boot folds should not contact one another,...was from Google AI,..which could be wrong....Also,I really like Toyota pickups,..but am not an off-roader. The leveling kit was for looks. The add a leaf helps a lot with loads...FYI,...I am the original owner. The truck has had full synthetic motor oil from new,(2.7 litre),and always been maintained.. It has 208,000 original miles,..and a pretty easy life...Since I am new here,I'm really not a blogger,..so don't know how it works here for responses,..but I did read someone shut down a thread from being overwhelmed by too many. So,if I don't write back, that's why...I really do appreciate the site though...I've learned a lot from everyone here."Thanks !" Looking forward to what you all think about this boot problem...
