Ok. Now we are getting somewhere. I had a wheel bearing on a Toyo Corolla that was going out and it felt like the noise and vibration was coming from the center of the car. Makes no sense right? Bet still it is a bearing.

#2 is typically the LH (driver's) side front wheel bearing. They will not have play in them that you can feel until they are really bad. Sometimes they are going bad they have no play and still feel ok when you rotate the wheel- but when you pull the hub assembly you can feel that they're bad.

There is a TSB on the LH output bearing on the front diff with the part numbers or you can use the ECGS bushing.

PSA, don’t miss the wood block when massaging your rotors off.

I replaced the front left wheel bearing and all of the sound is gone. The wheel didn’t have excessive play and the bearing didn’t grind when I spun it.

I’m still going to check the CV axles again this weekend and i’ll Get back to y’all.

As of now, I’m tentatively saying it’s fixed and it was a bad wheel bearing.

Thanks for all of your input.

I could have sworn i had the shaft play where it meets the diff since pretty much new, so i havent looked at it again in 4 years.

Order the ECGS bushing and do that as well. You will remove all the slop on the CV axle bell and save future problems too. Put a word out to borrow a removal tool for the needle bearing as well.
It's good to see a plan come together.

I feel like the CV shouldnt have a 1/4" play at the diff though.. Regardless of the wheel bearing. But I guess thats something you'd never see normally

PSA, next time use the threaded hole (just to the right of your circle) and use a bolt to push off the rotor!
