I rebuilt my cv axles with high angle boots. Did I stretch the boots too much?

Yes and no. At full flex, they will be pretty tight on the top. Straight driving should be fine.

    What brand are those boots?

The red one looks just like the boots used on CVJ axles in Denver, However you have them on the outside, where as they use them on the inside of the axle.

The inside boot is more prone to tearing than the outside boot and the rubber band helps to separate the ribs a little for it.

and yes they are stretched a little too far.

The clamp on the outside boot, should be in its little slot in the axle. I have tried to do a bootmod slide on axles before and the inside boot was fine for it but the outside boot on each axle leaked grease which is why that I say that the clamp should be in the slot of the axle. (Its been a while since I rebooted an axle though).
