I am having to replace a CV axle due to to much lift. My boot tore/warn out in about 25,000 miles. I am running just over 3 inches of lift. I am looking for an after market CV axle that has a thicker boot so it will last longer then OEM, anyone know of one? I am also considering lowering the front a half inch and dealing with a little bit of a rake.

    Thanks

SDHQ makes a high angle boot kit and do the boot slide mod when you swap boots....Stick with OEM CV's, aftermarket's are crap!

You need a long travel or high angle boot. Here is one type. You can goggle for others. You may even have to install heavy duty CV axels to get certain boots.

Those boots are awesome. Toyota CV axles are super expensive. I might have to buy a cheap one to get by for now and replace with Toyota and these boots a little later.

    LOL
you get a new clamp for the small side of the boot, slide the boot up the shaft a bit, and reclamp.
makes it so the fins are further away and dont rub.

if you search it will come up.
