Well noticed that my CV boot was torn today and spitting grease everywhere. Ordered new cvj axles and wondering if anyone in the socal area is down to help me swap them out sometime this week. Hopefully let me learn a thing or two in the process as well. Willing to pay as well if needed!

Honestly I think being on 35s, and the cv angle was not healthy for it. Checked the other side and it’s showing wear in the same spot as well so ordered two axle’s.

Looks like just the boots are worn out. You should only need to replace the boots. CV axles should last you a long time.

I’m at 100k miles. And it’s seen a lot of trail use. Just going to replace it for now and rebuild the one on the truck as a spare. Leaving on a road trip on July 3rd for 12 days so kinda a bad spot to be in haha.
