So was working on the truck tonight doing some service work and notice I have a little play in the cv axle on the driver side was wondering if the seal is possibly bad or do I need new cv axles? Wondering if I should replace both and if so what does everyone recommend.

Some in/out play on the driver's side is normal. If it's excessive you may have a bad needle bearing that would also cause front end vibrations in 2wd, but it's normal to have some play there

Common to have problems with that side. ECGS bushings are common upgrade.
