CV axles?

    Front (2.75" total): 1.6" Eibach coils, Toytec 0.5" (L) & 0.25" (R) top plate spacers, 5100's @ 0.85", Built Right uniball UCA's, Differential drop, Removed sway bar Rear: TSB springs, Wheeler's 1.5" AAL, 5100's, 2* shims, Carrier bearing drop, F and R Spidertrax, 285/75-16 Goodyear Duratracs, Self-fabbed sliders, rear bumper, and skid plates, Cobra 75 CB, Bed lined slim lo-pro tool box, Bed Extender, Diff breather mod, Two tail gate security mods, Exhaust dumped behind axle, Can't leave shit alone so plenty more coming...
    If they weren't fully assembled, I wouldn't want to mess with them.

    I changed boots once. I will never do that again. I will pay a little extra for parts and change the whole damn pre-assembled axle in half the labor time.

    i'd be down for this but i think if you could find any with stronger joints i would defenetly buy a set. but if it was just the boots being stronger i would probably just buy the boots and do it myself depending on the price.

    not sure if this is an option, but if you could make the CV axles to handle the increased angles of a lifted truck, then would that would be big plus.

    doesn't need to be for a big lift, since most people who off road a lot don't lift their truck more than 3"

    We are thinking stock strength axles, because it is an easy/affordable part to have break when off-roading vs. Ring and pinion or something else. Better CV boots are definitley a good idea though.

    Interested for sure. I'm fine with stock strength, but would be MUCH more excited about increased angle and sturdier boots.

    Right now this is just in the early stages. We are looking into what options are available, what people want, and whether there is enough interest in this kind of product to make it worth while for us to invest in.

    Boots are definitely a big of a bitch and such a common breaking thing on our trucks that some heavy duty ones would be a GODSEND.

    I bought my truck with 2 broken inner boots. I didn't want to bother with replacing them so I bought new axles. Haven't even put them on yet almost 4 months later. So far they've gotten even worse with only probably 100 miles with hubs locked.

    If you could make some heavy duty boots for around $35 I'm sure they'll sell like hotcakes.

    Downey used to make them...until they went out of business...so there are some shoes to be filled, and I'd love to see Wheeler's do so.

    I agree on stock strength being best. I'd rather break axles than diffs. I'd LOVE to see improved boots with joints designed to withstand a few more degrees of angle.

    I think since wheelers would be the only company still in business to offer these things you guys would help out a ton of toyota fans and make a pretty darn good profit. If you sold fully assembled stock strength shafts with slightly higher angle boots and high angle boots seperately you could take care of people who need new axles and new boots. I'd be interested

    My problems have been boots as well. I'd be interested I think I have a slightly torn boot right now.

    It would depend on the price and quality of the axles.
