The tulip or bell or whatever it's called broke without any warning? No clicking on tight turns before this? Was this an OEM CV axle?

It was still in one piece until I pulled the shaft out. It held together enough to pull the cv out of the diff. And no I didn't notice any clicking or anything. I assume it's oem by how rotted the boots are but no tellin.

Is there a replacement bushing for this? Please I don't need anybody else asking me about things I've already answered. Lol.

That's a little more then a bushing. Let look at FSM. Unless some knows right off. Either way the diff needs to come out.

Sorry homie, just trying to help. I had forgotten what I read yesterday. Don't worry I'm not butthurt about it, I can understand how frustrating it would get with this happening and then repeating answers and stuff.
On the bushing, did you mean a replacement boot? Or are you talking the internals of the CV joint?

Regardless, I don't think you can get replacement internals for the CV joint.

Toyota part number 43040-04010, looks like they do sell just the cv joint end of the shaft. Weird. I've never noticed the individual ends for sale.

    Thanks man!

And no I've already ordered a new cv shaft. I'm talking about the busted up part in the diff. I found a replacement bushing that appears to replace that part.

    http://eastcoastgearsupply.com/i-14472912-toyota-7-5-clamshell-bushingeliminates-needle-bearing.html

The video shows it going in the same place. I can order a new axle stub for $100 and that's $60 though so I'm skeptical.

And what do you mean by FSM? Sorry if that's a noob question. I googled it and came up with "flying spaghetti monster" and I'm pretty sure that's wrong lol.

Ok. It's on the passenger side and in the schematic I looked up it appears the axle stub that goes between the carrier and cv shaft would have that part in it. 41304f

Sorry I should've said that before! And sweet. Replacement diff was ~$550 and if I can get out of this with just the stub it's ~$100. Still no idea why it blew out of the diff. Might try putting some limiting straps on it. Never thought I'd be cool enough for those :oldglory:
