About to place an order with CVJ to replace my cv's. Curious if anyone feels strongly that the inner silicone boot option they offer is significantly better than the standard neoprene option. I am on a very tight budget currently, so saving ~$90 dollars going with the neoprene option sounds great but if the silicone option is a significantly better option I'll go with that. Any input?

Some lift, some armor, some scratches..
What coils do you have up front? How much lift?

I've got the 883s w/ 10mm spacer (giving ~3") and the silicone boots have done well with moderate offroad abuse. The silicone material doesn't seem super tough/durable IMO but the extra ribs are good for the lift. There is evidence of some rubbing on the 2 innermost ribs but it doesn't seem to be wearing into the silicone yet. Maybe the smoothness of the silicone helps there. I've had them on for 7 months

881's with the 10mm spacer I'm also at ~3". AOR tube bumper going on tomorrow actually, but I'm not expecting much of a change. What option did you go with on the outer boot? Rad build btw.

I don't do a ton of crawling. I wheel for the sake of wheeling a bit but for the most part I like to load the truck up with camping and climbing gear and get as far outta the way as possible, hopefully with a nice obstacle or two along the way. I'm think I am leaning towards the neoprene boot as long as someone doesn't chime in and say otherwise. It's the difference between having a little cash in the pocket for an upcoming trip. Hopefully it will last through my last year of being a broke college student and then I can address the issue again if need be. I appreciate the response and input!
