When I had my frame replaced about 3 years ago I had the steering rack (CVJ) replaced and it came with a 3 year parts warranty.
It started leaking just shy of the 3 years. I purchased an OEM rack and want the CVJ back that otherwise would have been covered under warranty.
The dealership is reluctant on wanting to give me my rebuilt CVJ rack back.
I was told they will get back with me. The more I think about it the more I wish I would have pressed it before I paid the bill.
Not sure what the laws are here in Colorado but I think I should have pushed. I want that back. The OEM is only good for a year and having a new CVJ(rebuilt) one on hand seems like a good idea.

    What do you guys think?

    Thanks

Went back the dealer. Was told I’ll be getting the warranty replacement. we shall see.

Are you getting money back for a core charge? I did that with mine. I bought a reman and got money back for bring my old rack back to the dealer. I don't think I could have properly rebuilt it anyway.

I would think the old steering rack is worth something even if it wasn't a CVJ....Good luck.
