Monte, does your awning adjust vertically? If I put one off the back I'd want it to go up/down about a foot to clear my camper shell door. Maybe that isn't plausible but it'd be nice if I could lower it for driving and raise it at camp.

ANYWHERE!!! how i roll :p haha

    Thats why its fun.

no mine don't...however..totally possible..actually a good idea would to make a folding mount so it sat low and then folded up to the height you want.

Or make the mounting posts detachable form the topper and just put it up.

The back of the awning though just has two slots the whole length of the awning for bolts. You'd have to make a custom mount..but totally do able.

I have some ideas for one for Mike if he gets one.

I was thinking of an aluminum bracket that had a slot running vertically where the bolts go through that attach to the awning. So I could loosen the nuts to lower or raise it and tighten it up at the right height. Seems kind of straight forward....hmm now I'll have to draw something up with my grade school art skills.

Yep could easily do that too. And have it removable or foldable or something..other be kinda odd having up there with the awning and be kinda odd looking to drive with the awning down.

My other idea was some sort of mount that scissored up. So it would look nice an low profile until I had to raise it up. That's probably harder though.

Im planning on doing some custom work for the awning I want, something along the lines of a pivot point where it will be on the side of my truck when in sleep mode then will rotate around to the back and open there when needed.

Reason Im doing this is I really want the 99' so this way it wont be sticking out while driving, then when its open it covers the whole back and the annex entrance. Full luxury!

At least that's the plan for now, need to draw up some plans for this
