Just wondering if anyone out there has used the CVT Cold Weather Cover. Thinking about giving it a try when camping with the family. My wife and kid would certainly benefit from a warmer sleeping situation.

I have not used that cover but I have slept in my CVT tent down to -20F.

I would be concerned about moisture build up. It was bad on the tent without a cover, that cover - while providing additional insulation and wind protection - is definitely going to restrict air flow.

The best answer is that a tent is not meant to keep you warm, it is meant to protect you from the elements. Sleeping bags are what you keep you warm. Invest in bags with a lower temp rating; go with down-filled if you can afford it.

Perfect, works for me, I do appreciate the condensation prevention mats, and good air flow lol.

Have you seen where folks have used those Chinese knockoff Eberspacher heaters and plumbed the output into the RTT? Most have used the "wife and kids" excuse too. ;):p Honestly it looks pretty simple to do.
