2011 Double Cab 4x4 Manual

So my dad recently got a Ranier CVT for his 100 series lc and after a few uses he is wanting to swap it out for a clamshell style for ease of set up. So he is offering to sell it to me for a good price however it is 6ft long on my shortbed. Ive seen plenty of pics of people having it hang off the back but it really doesn't tickle my fancy, does anyone here run a full height bed rack and have a Ranier that hangs over the cab? TIA
