It is fully installed and tested, no warning lights, no new noise. Well there was but I realized I was doing 90...whoops.

At proper speeds it seems fine.

I ended up enlarging the hole into the engine bay, not sure what they though it would do but the seal wasn't good. The clamp isn't doing anything, the elbow is abs and isn't compressible.
I passed the end of the elbow into the engine bay, sealed the connection and then clamped the elbow on the engine side so it wouldn't slip out.

Still some gaps in the fender wall but no water or air leaks

Did a little exploring on the truck.

No I didn't drive anywhere, just looked.

    Rust

The rear axle and leaf springs are covered in the nasty stuff.
    Time for intervention.
I ordered a wire wheel , rust converter and undercoating.

I'm cheap so I went with rustoleum spray stuff.
    Pics to follow.

Also replaced the 10 year old dash cam. Only worked half the time.

I did alot of research and for the price, this seems like a good deal. About $75 with GPS.

I could have saved $20 by not getting gps, but at this price, why not.

New dash cam. Seems good so far, no Bluetooth but uses direct wifi instead.
I can view videos on my phone and save right away, good for saving vids on long trips. Not sure about pics yet, need to play around with it.

Yeah its bad. Took off the top layer of rust and sprayed a converter on it. Then I found out why the springs have been so noisy.

Ordered new bushings and threw a castle nut on the springs (only one that fit). Put a coat of undercoating on. Still some spot work to do.

I don't ever want to do that again.

    Hey.

Its all put together. Got a bag of bushings from ARB. And all needed hardware, locktight and torque specs.

I was worried that something horrible could have happened off roading, but after the wrestling match I just had, I know it won't just pop out.

When you spend half your time trying to take shortcuts and the other half realizing you can't.

The dakar pack was twisted because of the bushing, lots of rust to mitigate and 2 trips to the hardware store.

    And I don't move fast.

    And fuck you

Got rid of the computerized dual battery tender thingy. The second one died from dust. Switched to a redarc
