Helped someone move, so I emptied the back of the truck.20211121_085552.jpg
    Now to re design

I got a double Jerry can holder and used a different utility box, in a different place. Took out the water tank, haven't used it yet. Might reinstall it later.
    20211121_134614.jpg

And then I ran out of steam, I will install the Jerry can holder later.

    20211121_140701.jpg

The plan is to take a week long trek to Colorado. So I got this to hold 10 gallons

I think you just did more to your truck than I’ve done n months. Ive had the compressor mounted for a year and never wired it yet

It's the same stuff you used, it covers the top and front, just for a little insulation.

Installed the double Jerry cans, 10 gallons now, I feel a little better about the longer treks.
And I found a utility box that fits next to the tire, I will have that next week.

So the box arrived, exactly the size I wanted.

While I was bolting it down to the bed, I was laying under the truck and for some reason I grabbed the drive shaft at the center support bearing and of course there is no bearing left.

    Sigh

So as I drove to the store and had to Smack the blower moter to get it started, I realized I needed to order more parts.

So for the last year the blower fan has been failing, last month it wouldn't start without banging on the bottom a few times, normally only took once.

Bought a new one and found out why the old one was doing so bad.

I had an Andy day today. I went hunting this morning and when I came home I parked my truck. As I walked away I heard a pop and it started rolling. I ran around it and reached inside to reset parking brake and as soon as my hand hit the brake the truck hit a tree. Aluminum bumper is toast, dented the hood, and bent some of the front end bracing

Aluminum and it’s buckled all over. Wife says she can’t believe I got so messed up it must have been week. If it would have been the stock bumper I’d be replacing the core support and radiator

Yes. I put 2nd gen 16” Off-road Wheels on my 2nd gen Sport, and the 2004 16” 5 Spoke Alloy 4Runner wheels also fit.

So I have been mulling over lockers for the front and back
Looking at different types, I already have a double arb compressor and I like the tjm design with no O rings.

Then I realize after 11 years, I have never needed them. I have a very heavy expedition rig and probably would break stuff if I wheeled hard enough to use lockers. Any time I am at the point I need a locker, I have a winch.

So I think I will save the 2 grand plus install cost and maybe just carry an extra cv

So I did this last trip
    20211106_143804.jpg

Apparently it's a bad time to get new tires right now, worldwide backorder.

Decided to replace all 5 tires, I also need a matching wheel, SCS F5 16" 4.5 bs 0 offset.

    Also on backorder.

So after 2.5 months I went online and found 2 tires. One on a jeep website and one at a dealer in PA that was willing to ship.

I was watching a car repair video today (rainman ray, the guy is good) and he replaced a bad o2 sensor on a Toyota. I though, gee, I have never done that and my mileage has gotten worse over the years.
I looked up how often they should be replaced, it says at least every 90k.

    I'm at 180k.

    Got 4 on order.

Got the 4 o2 sensors in, I will do that this weekend.

Went offloading in DV and got a leak in the left inner cv boot. I will take that to the dealership and just have it rebuilt.

O2 sensors are done. The special socket and a breaker bar were helpful.

Hardest part is unplugging them. The secret seems to be unplugging first, they won't come out if the wires get twisted.
