    Thanks Rusty. Birthday was great!

    I like to eat. Lol. At home we eat well but simply. Protein and veggies or salads. I like to duplicate that in the woods with some extra carbs since I’m hiking and stuff. Here’s my secret, on short trips like this, I’ll cook my meats at home then freeze them in seal-a-meal bags. I will thaw one out in a cold bag during the day and have an easy to cook supper ready in just a few minutes. Microwave steamer veggies work well when roasted for a few minutes then steamed under an aluminum foil tent.

    Thanks Scott. It is a very nice route, I can see me doing it again.

    Have you heard of the Smokey Mountains 500 and 1000? Covers much of the same area in GA and goes up into TN/NC. Looks like another good one to try.

    You’re welcome. Yes sir, I know a little about the Smokey Mountain 500/1000. It certainly is worth the time to try.
    It’s been several years since I’ve been through the area, but I used to ride dual sport motorcycles all over those “mountains”.
