We had a good time, saw some cool old stuff related to the area. Had a great lunch at a local mom and pop’s restaurant. A few randoms for you

old diesel engine that was used for power at one of the old sawmills

 

Any info on the old engine @RustyGreen ? They really didn’t know anything other than it was used at an old sawmill.

It’s a big son of a gun, about 4’ tall from the bottom to the top of the cylinders. Only marking I could find was the name “Worthington” stamped into a cover plate. From what I could Google that company has been around since 1845 making pumps and such. Not sure when they got into the diesel business. Some more for you.

Yes, I’m looking forward to the long weekend not that we have anything planned.

Headed over to the kids in a few minutes to do an early shift with the girls, wife has the late shift.

Rusty, that info flyer was helpful. I have not seen that one or overlooked it in my searches. That graphic showing the generator connected to the fly wheel makes a lot of sense. There was five large bolts on the back of it and we were wondering what it was used for.
