Except his part is too large and intricate to be developed last minute to win customers over. Remember, the first trailer to attract developers was in 2013. I think they bit off more than they could chew and felt the rush from investors to release something to recoup some revenue. Pretty sure if Covid didn't happen compounding the last limit difficulties as well as delaying another year we would have had some MUCH closer to what was promised and this shit show would have been mostly avoided.

Personally, I've played through half of Act II and have around 45 hours into it. I've shelved it until DLC/Updates not due to stability issues on PS5, but because of how lifeless it feels in the open world. I still think its a pretty good game, and worth $60 to PC players who don't experience the reliability issues.

Not that they developed it last minute but it was the only focus at the end. It wasn't planned to have him in the game as much as he is. I enjoyed Johnny's character though, I think Johnny, Judy and Panam are the only reasons I continue to play the game. Plus the mods are fun. I was just hoping it would feel more open ended.

It already came out that the market was pushing for release so the company head pushed it before it was ready against the wishes of the development staff.

You mean the reddit post? Who knows if that's true. It reads like a con to be honest. I think they always wanted Keanu in the game that much but they also wanted a more branching story and side quests to fill in the game better. As it stands, it often feels like a promising beta and not a full game. No matter what is true the likely story on the developer side is that this game should of been shelved until June 2021 but wasn't because the game had to be out for Christmas 2020 to please the investors.

They could've just release it as 'Early Access' and avoided all the shit storm. :crapstorm:

Patch 1.1 is live. Nothing too crazy though.

I been reading on the forums that this patch could affect your saved games. Some people are actually having more issues with it than the previous patch.

Then again there’s people who have played through this game a couple of times and spent over 250hrs on it, raving how it’s the best game etc.
    *This makes me chuckle inside

I’m not going to touch this game until the major DLC that is suppose to be released this summer. That’s if I’m still interested in this game. I also advise anyone who has played this game yet to wait at least until summer. I’ve already gone through it and you’re not missing much. But YMMV.

I haven't played since Christmas. It's not a bad game but, after what I've been told is about halfway through, I really lost interest. It wasn't bugs or issues that scared me off either. I have a RTX 3090 so the game plays flawlessly for me. I just couldn't get into it enough to keep sinking time into it after ~ lvl 40.

I put a lot of stats towards the common access points needed in the game. You need certain levels to break down doors or hack terminals, which are necessary to complete some missions without slaughtering every enemy.

That's really the problem though. The game keeps the really cool skill tree perks locked away until you max out each skill and, with the requirements for most missions, it takes at least until around lvl 40 to get there. By then, I was bored. Honestly, Cyberpunk 2077 is just not a very good game as far as the actual gameplay over time is concerned. Yes, that's 100% opinion, but I also put over 52 hours into my first play through and I'm totally done without finishing the story. It's not Skyrim, that kept me interested for hundreds of hours, nor is it Fallout 4, which managed to be short enough to entice me to have several play throughs with every variant of the story. It just feels like none of the PJ Red team actually took the time to play the game like most people who love this style of game would. It's not Witcher 3, it's just boring and repetitive after a while. It's a beautiful technology demonstration with RTX cards, but for me that's the only high accolade I can give it.

Very repetitive I would have to agree but all games can be that way

I agree with the repetitiveness. Running around to do side missions which are just reskins of the same mission over and over is the definition of boring. Since I'm one of those "I have to complete everything" gamers I was going to run through all of the side stuff before I finish the main story and it just got to the point I dropped it and started playing something else. Now I'm really into Valheim.

Really enjoyed playing Cyberpunk 2077 with my old system from 2010. Did some upgrades from Intel i7 2600k to a new AMD Ryzen 5900x. Played on both systems with 2 MSI GTX970 in SLI at 20-35 fps at 1920x 1080p high and low 5760x 1080p.

    Nice!
I still had no problem really with the game and it has been good. There are some very repetitive things but I think that goes with this type of genre of game.

Clearing the map of open world jobs I would considered repetitive work. I liked to do things differently from lethal weapons, stealth to brutal non lethal punk style beatings. I have completed Cyberpunk 2077 as a Nomad and City Kid so far. Played out multiple endings from the point of no return and played again from start. Came across Skippy in both games but had limited use in the second game. Here was another monitor configuration of 3240x1080P @ 120hz but the Windows task bar was too small and desktop scaling was terrible.

The bezels would drive me insane. Probably why my monitor is 37".

Yes the bezels can be issue but 2 monitors put the bezel in the center of your view. I have been using 3 monitors since 2011 so I am use to the setup. May change it up when 4k @ 120Hz becomes more common.

Lots of fun only bought 2 or 3 vehicles...

I love the mule, but last time I played the windshield would turn into a wall of light any time the sun was up. (I prefer first person driving)

I started paying Cyberpunk again after a few months and patches. It's a lot of fun. I'm running 1080ti for graphics and an ultrawide monitor and the game is gorgeous, no more floating cactuses and food stands, constant glitches. They fixed it up great for PC version.

I felt like a 10 year old trying to drive first person. Motorcycle was the easiest in the city and I only found the Porsche in my second game. In this pic I bumped Kerry out of his vehicle when he was driving home.
