Too poor to list anything interesting.
I don't think I could do any kind tri/sprint event on a bike made of wood. I wouldn't have peace of mind.

For the price of a bike that could do that and would give you peace of mind....you can buy a very nice cf bike.

Anyone following the camera gadgets that are coming out?

Gopro has a new intro 130$ camera that is a good deal if you're wanting to go with gopro.

however the basic version of the Garmin camera can be found brand new 110 :)eek:)and has a removable battery, 3 hour life and a 64gb memory capacity. The garmin is a better deal, but definitely awkward to find a sleek mount. I know cause I have the Virb Elite

The Shimano camera is a joke. I am very surprised a company as big as Shimano came out with something with such a cruddy battery...sure it is light weight, the cost is the battery life. maybe 90 minutes on a good day (or so I have heard) and when it's cold people report about 30 minutes of battery life. So avoid that one unless you're not on your bike very long :p

BUT the reason I really posted was to show you guys these two cameras

    http://fly6.com/

    http://www.rideye.com/

The fly6 is an integrated taillight/camera combo and pretty slick if you ask me. Only records 720p but has a decent 5-6hour battery life.

The rideye, however, has a whopping 15 hour battery life. And since I already have a tail light I am very interested in this one, especially since it shoots 1080p

The second on has yet to actually be released....so I am hoping it does come out :p The fly6 has had good reviews though and some preorders have come in.

Anyone on here into gravel riding? I've had enough idiot water-head motorist encounters this season, I've been dabbling more and more with gravel rides. I'm thinkng about adding another steed to the stable and trying to decide on a cx rig or perhaps a full rigid clown wheeler (leaning toward steel with carbon fork).
    Any input gang?
My old Titus Motolite is my current gravel grinder and I'm afraid to see what my susp oils are gonna look like after dusty limestone abuse.

Your motolite is perfect. During the winter months I lock out my suspension and ride fire roads up and the trails down. A friend of mine rides a 2006 Motolite and it has been a good frame for him.

The new refined enduro bikes that are here (or are coming out) make good gravel bikes. Especially the disc versions because the disc allows a stupid wide tire clearance (for a "road bike").

Here is the new cannondale synapse w/32 wide tires

Contrary to what i said previously....the this bike is a sexy machine and I may or may not be looking at it :anonymous:

But mix the wider tires with a 700x23 rim and you should come out with an awesome gravel grinder.

    Something like this

CF/Alloy will make a difference, but tire/rim width/psi will make a bigger difference.

Put 700/38s on the wife's GF Tiburon along with touring gears 48/38/28. Bike is so smooth and fast. Great for pavement/gravel/light trails.

I've tried my GoPro on my bike and I hated the outcome. I much prefer it mounted to my helmet or chest.

This is one of my favorite bikes I've owned. Extremely fast on the road and the ability to take it on light trails. Great all around bike.

Hi folks, I've posted a few of my road bikes in here before. I'm into older steel bikes from the 70's and 80's, just something about the comfort that gets to me (that, and I can afford a few of them). Here is my latest find, a 1982 Trek model 710. It's a light touring bike, made in Waterloo, Wisconsin. I've got it just about finished, I took it down to the frame and cleaned all the components, plus I cleaned and re greased all the bearings. I'm taking in to the shop where my son works for a final fitting (free!) before I put on the bar tape. Bar tape will be a light blue to match the seat tube panel.

    Very nice Dave.
Ya the Motolite is a great bike and hand made in USA makes it special for sure.
I've actually considered adding a disc fork to my Tarmac and trying a beefy cross tire. Not sure what size I could squeeze into the rear triangle.
    That Ridley is sick!

Whats up guys, just found this, decided to revive it. Got a Trek XO1 back in late october and sad to say its gotten way more miles than my mountain bike has in that time. although i definitely do enjoy that i get to ride way more with it now. heres a pic from my instagram

already swapped out the stock tires for some 700x28 road tires. its so much better

Yep, 23s felt like riding on no tires at all and just bumping up to 25s made a big difference. Not really feeling any larger tires on it tho. I have other bikes for that.

initially i was gonna go 25s but i got a good deal on these. i bumped my psi up to 95 yesterday from like 75-80 and even that made a huge difference, especially on climbs

bought a Garmin 500 last week - kickstarted doing about 50 miles. Weird how buying yourself new gear gets your overall drive to get some miles in going.

I'm about to start building up a monstercross on a hardtail frame for gravel riding. Planning on running WTB Nano's in 700x40c. Not sure about my gearing though. Planning on a SS build initially - have a 32T ring - and I'm afraid I'm going to have to run a 15/16 in the rear to avoid spinning out on the flats.

Ordered a 2015 Allez Sport yesterday, will be my first road bike. I was putting too many miles on my MTB on gravel/ashphalt last year, so hopefully this will stop me from doing that.
