My hooptie is getting a little age on it now, but still feels like a rocket every time I ride it. Bummer it is about to go back on the Kickr and live that inside life for a while. I'll still ride outside if it's warm, but I've got an old felt for nasty day duties...

Nice! I'm located in the Bay Area but work often in the Sacramento market. I just got a Canyon Ultimate in November and picked up some new Hunt wheels for it. Maybe one of these days, I can come up and check out the routes in Sacramento area.

For sure. The bike trails here are really nice. Got the hazel to sunrise trail that’s flat, and then hazel to Folsom dam that’s more hilly and fun. Love it.

Curious, what kind of miles do you folks put on your bikes?

I did 2100 miles and feel like I could of done better

Love it! Motivating me even in more to come up now. Going to start looking into a visit up there soon.

Every BIG ride I do which is at least 3x a month, I try and do 70+ miles with some climbing. Once in a while, I'll do a Ultra ride which is about 100+ miles. Between that, maybe I can get in another 2 rides with 30 miles in a week. I think it equates to roughly 3000 miles all said and done. Problem is obviously work, social life, vacation and weather too.

My friend is an avid biker and he got 5000 miles in one year but he was literally riding 50-70 miles 3-4x a week religiously.

I usually get about 3000miles between road and gravel. Mostly gravel. Not much pavement where I live unfortunately.

I get another "2000" on the trainer.

    Lots of early mornings.

Opinion wanted: My bike was in a bike shop for major work. When I got it back the were several deep scatches on it, down to the carbon. The gave it back to me, saying nothing about the scratches on it. I was pissed, but I just took my bike and left. It would be like a mechanic doing a good job on your car or truck,- then keying it. Back to my question, I left them a shitty reveiw on Yelp, should I take it down? BTW, I already touched it up as best I could, but I am still pissed.

Accidents happen but it sucks that they didn't bring it up right away but you should have before you brought it home. If you bring it back now, they'll just say that you did it. I'd say the review stays until they take care of the damage.

That sucks. But just like fargo taco said. Once you left the bike shop, they will just probably say you did it.
Try talking to them and see what happens….but I will keep the review up.

Broke my orange specialized diverge e5 base bike. Had it for 1.5 years and put on about 2700 miles on it. Was a fun ride

Went thru specialized warranty. Heard stories that they tell you to get lost. They don’t help anyone. Used to be a good company, but now they suck.

well….they did warranty my bike. But….they didn’t have my bike in stock, so they upgraded me from a specialized diverge base, to a diverge carbon pro. Full carbon with the future shock. Heck yea.

As someone pretty well connected to the cycling industry.

Specialized rarely tell consumers to pound sand… especially with Santa Cruz for competition these days. Lol

I finally went on my first ride in over a year and my first actual ride on the Tannus airless tires. Those suckers are hard. Hopefully they soften up a bit with use. And my butt hurts. Hopefully that hardens up with use.

Included is my ugly mug, but went out yesterday. Finally it’s in the low 90s here in Sacramento. Was 105+ for the last week.

after not riding almost all summer, I miss it. I did 25 miles yesterday. The first 3-4 sucked, warming up but after that….smooth sailing.

only picture I got from yesterday.

thinking of next mod to the bike. Probably a Shimano 105 or better. Would love some hydraulic brakes

Tried to find out what race/ country this guy was in, but to no avail, but his extreem areo technique worked as he passed five riders and the motorcycle escort.bike.jpg

This clip has been around for a while. It's not a race.

I've messed around on my track bike like this but the real trick is trying to get clipped back in. Much easier on a road bike. My buds and I would bomb hills like this in my younger days. I remember one guy hit 90km/h. I had no interest in trying it at that speed.
