My transmission was much more lurchy until I got my misfire fixed. Now it's just normal taco lurchy rumbly.

Ha! Sounds on-brand. What fixed your misfire? Curious too...how would you describe "normal taco lurchy"? Like a hard kick like it's trying to shift?

Mine was replacing both injectors on two cylinders next to each other. I don't recall which. I think I linked to the whole damn saga above here somewhere. If not, I'll go find it.

Normal lurchey is just hunting for gears and always being in the wrong one then dropping two gears to catch up and lurching.

But fuel injector transmission lurchey is like someone intermittently taps the brake and you get a little nose plant sensation then the gas hits and you get thrust for a second. Or.... Have you ever towed a trailer with something heavy that wasn't entirely tied down? Maybe towed a 3" ball trailer with a 2" ball on the truck? That's fuel injector lurchy. Like bucking forward and back.

I stand corrected. Haven't cross posted here... And it was only one cylinder. Not two.

    CONCLUSION:
After discovering the voltage drop on the Fuel Injection System, Yota Pros honed in on driving the vehicle with a scan tool. Scan tool indicated a consistent misfire on #2 Cyl. Yota Pros replaced both Fuel Injectors on #2 and since then my MPG has gone from the 13MPG/15MPG range back up to the 19MPG to 22MPG range and the truck no longer dies in traffic. Root Cause - Defective Fuel Injector from the Factory. Toyota failed to acknowledge my MPG issues since early on (around 5,000 miles) and failed 3 for 3 times with an escalation to corporate to diagnose the issue - blaming the customer instead.
