I gotcha, not tryin to sway ya, just sharin what I found.

Well, I guess I am that 'one person' .. My experience has been nothing short of excellent with the Wardens. Balanced bettter than my previous Cooper ATRs, rode smooth, and gave me 50k+ tough miles. Maybe the fluke is that mine were perfect haha.. I'll do a review once I get the tires and get some miles on them

Build's been slow, been trying to get the R6 back on the street so I can finish the season strong. Had to figure out some shit the previous owner derped on. While it was down I've been hitting the lot with my 50.

    6C0ABB46-5AA1-43DC-B5D3-D62CF7FF8EE6_993403554b1b005fb6555bf5d7d2a84d40ebe619.jpg

Also irritated a herniated disc at the gym which put me out of commission for a week. Was a good time when I realized I had a flat before work the one day. If I didn't have air tools there would be no way I would have been able to do the tire change.

    2CA5867C-8B98-456B-9AA7-FAA99471A89F_c024d16546b1c8cee926ef1f208493c7187aa806.jpg

    Pulled the bitch out:

    And plugged:

Finally getting back to getting the truck trail ready. I scheduled an appt with BPF and started prepping after a trip to Fazzios in Glassboro. That place is awesome.

Got a piece of 3/16th custom cut for a mid skid for $36 compared to what it would cost from skid row or bud built, I'm saving a couple hundred. It will need some whiskey bends though.

Also unbent my t-case skid and prepped it for some BPF reinforcements.

Finished cutting up the supports for the t-case skid. Ideally the long pieces in the front and back are going to keep the skid from bowing in anymore, and I added the cross supports to essentially box in the part that surround the tcase that hangs down. I added the last cross support on the far left for consistency.

It needs more support in the back of the skid as the front of the skid has the transmission crossmember to support it.

Some big changes on the way for J0hnny5. Got a smokin deal on an addicted offroad bumper which is the ONLY bumper I ever wanted for this truck. Made a 10 hour drive yesterday to pick it up and by God it's glorious. A big shout out to my wife since she's the one who bought it for me as an early Christmas present. :headbang::mudding::yay::woot:

In anticipation for the bumper I relocated my signals using the write ups from @PcBuilder14

Got LED ambers on the way as well as the relay that will fix the hyperblink when i install the LED's. This will make my clear corners still look clear and not have the stupid "egg yolk" look.

Agreed. Though it's not as noticeable for you as you already have that amber corner piece in your sides too.

    C4759200-CE5E-44B6-A4B3-E5EB1A72162B_f0a6ff6bda2e5e24847a771cbdb982ad58703d72.jpg

Here is a good comparison of how it looks with LED vs standard bulbs and the egg yolk effect I hate so much. Unfortunately the other LED was DOA and started melting when I plugged it in.

    E4DF0B79-3E30-4DB0-9D8D-1EACFB6C26CF_f840cdd51bbaa7a6c327081ba232fa04d81406fe.jpg

Also update on the CO2 tank: Got it re-hydro'd and filled for about $45 so I only have $110 invest in the setup so far. Just need an air chuck now and I'm ready to rock.

So I started to prep for the new bumper by scrapping all the old shit and painting behind the entire front.

You can see from the last derp at Rausch that I fucked up the front collision bar on the bumper pretty bad.

    6A6A39B2-6FA0-4CDE-B7A2-217A5453A845_a0d3ceb574208d450c75c8c149a0c9e71c91890b.jpg

I also saw that despite @ToyRyd04's advice I still yanked people from this only front tow point on the truck and bent the frame like he said I would. Thankfully it didn't screw us up too much aside from trying to get the frame extensions on but I'll get to that later. So happy to have my 600lb impact that zipped all the frame bolts off with ease.

    B110072B-642B-48C1-AE8F-26820C499001_0565a089d145d28b252a70d7943b7d84376b5c5e.jpg

I did have to cut this bitch open though to get to these.

    0AFD1ECA-B5BE-4785-B61E-70320FC2DC09_1ee5f8bd589ef554518392b8525d1cf2eec7452d.jpg

    Next up was paint.

Used VHT's chassis black. I love the way this came out so much that I plan on using it for the bumper as well.

Next up was an appointment with @PSU Taco85 at BPF. He's got a sweet new crib btw, got a grand tour. Can't wait to see his pole barn project next!

    I don't think he's got enough yota's.

    1A6526AD-F0A7-4E55-8B96-D41EDC53708B_1c4de6d45c079701c4c6ca241a3d87045e2f2286.jpg

So since I got this bumper from another member the frame reinforcement that usually comes with the kits was still welded to the previous owners truck. This meant we had to build a new one. I called Scott at addicted offroad and he gave me some good recommendations and Ant and I went with what we saw we needed and what we could get at Fazzios. The original thought was 2 frame extensions 2" long made from 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 x 3/16's and getting a c-channel to span the front to weld on. Problem was that c channel has edges that go away from the center in a very wide manner. This led us to thinking about getting 4x4x1/4" square tube and cutting the entire bitch in half.

Ant worked on the extensions while I went to cutting the big boy.

    27F21043-8F0E-4B72-9332-F6D18D0CE8C4_f3cefd48212e6c180eb35c63e6a60a1e5762653f.jpg

And here it is mocked up on the truck.

    AAF0F0FC-0810-4F28-8120-DDFF58D0AA7C_8afebff236d9ad7536e8b9a4a95d96231380baee.jpg

This would give the bumper a solid mounting point and bring it out as intended by addicted offroad.

We cleaned up the extensions and Ant burned em in.

While he was doing that I was prepping the massive front support.

    B5E12FFD-67C2-4E66-924B-3A51CCCEE69B_62e346b98dccbc3538237af952c29b280c2df8d4.jpg

We then mocked up the bumper on the support, drilled all the holes, welded the nuts on and put the bumper on the support to put the support on for good. It was rapidly getting dark, and getting really fucking cold so we both were busting ass and not taking any pics ha.

    Crossmember welded on:
    82B077E5-E290-4FF5-8935-A47AC8777B5F_89762e7ec562c36cda3225685011f0fac2778d23.jpg

And viola! a bumper was installed. Now I gotta take it off tomorrow to paint it.

Looks good. Wonder if the frame plate from TG would have fit for that. but that would bolt into the stock tow hitch area on your truck which looked pretty bent.

Anymore details on the belly skid that you are making? just got my IFS from Skidrow and may be looking at making my own belly pan.

Thanks guys! I did realize today that even with the solenoid relocated a winch is gonna be a tight fit. Ant warned me about it too ha oh well the grill will get cut if need be. I just have no idea how deep they are usually.

Yeah Scott mentioned the trail gear one doesn't line up with his bumper so it wouldn't work out. It was gonna either be too high or to low. And as far as the belly pan is it will literally be a piece of steel bent twice. Then gonna have angle welded to the back for support.

Sounds good dude! I won't paint the back then
