It better be! I know why I never sealed the interior well the first time. I literally had to get upside down under the dash with the entire interior out to reach the top of where the tub welds were. I also even put seam sealer in the gaps where the metal creased from us using the BFH to bend the firewall as much as we did.

Also seam sealed around the antenna wires and on the outside of the antenna wires too. Will probably hit that again just in case.

Next up is flex seal. I want to tape up the pedals and some of the major harnesses to deal with the over spray.

And no go on the diff yet but I have a mod day on the books with some local homies in May. I actually should have the dough for regear and locker by April but the wife and I are heading to Mexico so I just won't have time to work on the truck. So stoked to get a working rig again soon. Pumped to get some pep back haha

    Hell yes!

I know EXACTLY what you mean about the contortions you have to do to get to the top of the tub welds. I was swearing like a sailor while I was grinding and wire wheeling and flap disking and cleaning and sealing and blah blah blah on the interior. And the driver side is the worst because you have to dodge the damn pedals!

Are you going 5.29s? If you are, you're gonna LOVE them. So glad I went with those instead of the 4.88s.

Lol yup! And as I'm doing the flex seal I'm inhaling all the fumes from the recently painted Por-15 :p

And fuck yeah 5.29's! And arb front. Really hoping that being slightly overheard will give me some decent crawl speed as a manual. Did you change your speedo gear yet? I know I read someone on here already figured out the best one for our setup but don't remember who it was or what it was.

I haven't swapped the speedo gear yet, but I do have a new one buried in the mod pile.

@Star-Lord was the one who swapped out his, and he was the one who directed me to the right one with the right tooth count. I think that was all in his build thread. Let me check...

With the manual and 5.29s..i seriously doubt i'll ever consider a crawlbox..its that good.

1st gear is low as hell.

That was my hope and goal all along. Ain't nobody got time for crawl boxes!

Awesome, thank you! I'll order it so I can install it same day.

I can't maths either. sad because I kicked ass at it in all the advanced classes in high school.

Hey Mike nice work. Now that you have addressed some of the rusty issues on the inside of the truck, how is the outside holding up with the FF?

So far, so good. Really haven't had much opportunity for it to get washed off much, but you can definitely see it's still wet from it in most spots. Plan on doing that every year most definitely. Going to preserve this new frame as best as I can.

Yea sucks. That's life here in the east. By the way, whats making you decide going the arb route for the front locker vs the elocker like the harrop one. I'm closely looking at that one when the time arrives for my regear

Honestly it comes down to funds. Ideally I would love the harrop but it's like $500 more and I have Moab to save for. Plus I plan on getting a tundy axle eventually which will be another $500 at that point since I'll lose my e-locker. After re-gear I still need all this to feel ready for Moab:

    Essentials:
    PS pump
    PS rack
    OTRE's
    Jerry Cans
    Jerry can carrier
    Plano cases
    Action packers
    Rear leafs and shocks

    Wants:
    Trasharoo
    Bumper dumper
New stove to replace my grill
    Fix my AC
    Tundra brakes
Relentless mounts to finally mount my lightbar thats collecting dust
    Better air mattress

I wouldn't consider jerry cans essential. You will likely be headed through town after a day of wheeling or before you head out to the trail. Just plan ahead a bit. I don't think i headed to town soley for gas last year at all.

My water jerry will definitely be essential since I am camping for two weeks and need to shower sometime.
