Lol first time I ever went the way of putting the rear tire on the rock and it's definitely much sketchier that way haha. Not as sketchy as you were but still sketch. :p

Haha no doubt, usually pics don't show how it really was. But that rear had some hang time!

So assessed the damage from the last trip and it really made me re-think some things. First, rear suspension went up on the priority list, as well as re-enforcing the gas tank skid. I got dangerously close to destroying mine, and did a number on the skid itself. Also never going to Rausch without bringing my spare DS, as well as happy I even got one in the first place.

Going to go with Dakars, Nitrochargers, and wheelers super bumps in the rear. Really want to do it all the right way the first time, but I just don't have the time or cash before Moab. This is a tried and true setup that I can get a couple of years on anyway.

Next up will be storage/camp gear. Already have a plano case, a plano sportsman trunk, and another trunk style option all ready to be bought off Amazon. Ideally I can start putting stuff in better weatherproof options so I don't always need shit in the cab. Also Hoping to organize shit quite a bit.

Also I heard a heat shield rattle when I was wheeling and thought nothing of it. I found this when I got home, no nuts to be found and the heat shield barely hanging on the stud. Now I know why my check engine light is on. :anonymous:

That's the setup I've got, could ride better at faster speeds (the kings upfront egg me on) but once I loaded it down with gear plus my RTT they ride much better. But at slower speeds they ride great

Yeah my front is shit and can't handle fast speeds either. I just need something with more droop and articulation that's tried and true. Seems like it's the best route to go in the interim.

Not sure if it was that or the ledge on 20 at 6:45 in the video. I was definitely beating on it much more then than when i was on pizza rock.

If you're planning a temporary solution, I would go with Billies over the nitrochargers. The OMEs cost more, and are a bit shorter than they should be.

5100's or 5125's? I was thinking the same as well but also heard so many horror stories about the blown billies too. But yeah it's only temporary so I guess cheap as possible is best.

I would just get some non-model specific 5125s. 9" travel would probably be good for stock mounting points.

Awesome, thanks Brett. I figure I'll keep my lift shackles on at first too to see how it goes, especially since it's a greasable setup. The bushings should hopefully all be the same size, right? Going to order it all in a week or two. I would love to order it all from Wheeler's but I feel like the springs would make shipping insane, and I have a local shop I don't need to pay shipping at.

Spent some money today. Got the dakars, 9" 5125's, wheelers super bumps, the shims, and a spare ITRE as well as 2 spare outers from low range. One more thing off the list before Moab. Next will be a new OEM rack, and redoing all my camp/kitchen storage.

Rear brake line was extended when I gave it to Toyota for the frame, ordered u bolts as well, and have a BAMF BPV bracket ready to rock as well that I got from another member for like $15. Hopefully those shock nuts aren't rusted on too. Will test it this weekend with the impact.

Very good  If that BPV doesnt workout, I'll show you how to make a manual adjustable one out of the oem hardware.

Thanks guys! Really hoping to get some rake back, as well as carrying capacity. And of course more clearance on the gas tank. This obviously won't make that shit line I tried doable because it still isn't a jeep, but I'm sure will help the truck overall.

That's awesome. I've been very much impressed by the Dakar springs, considering how relatively inexpensive they are. A very good value I'd say.

Interested in this. I haven't really messed with mine at all but would like to be able to adjust it.
