That is still hella confusing since only one wire should run from the + to the fuse box and another should run from the + directly to the alternator if you have the big 3 upgrade.

Bike Binderz came in and I got them installed. I needed to adjust their height because the DRZ is so damn tall. I got the bike loading to about 2 mins. It would be faster if I didn't need the bike so close to the spare tire. Based on how everything has been adjusted and setup it works exactly how I hoped now though. I can have the tire on one side (and because it is not getting strapped I can have the front tire turned to get the bike more onto the truck and less hanging out towards the tailgate, and I can still get two boxes in line next to the bike. (One will be my dry box and the other will be my kitchen box). Everything else like ramps/ez up/ fire wood/ etc will get stacked on top of/around those. I do want to make a more permanent mount for the ramps somewhere on the rack for MC camp trips, but that's something I still need to figure out.

    And a little video demo:

Also took a look at my ADS shocks now that they have broken in a little bit and I am thinking I can probably adjust the preload for a little more lift/get the preload more in the center of travel again.

I started building an electrical hub for the truck to replace the old setup I had in the tool box. It won't be as elegant as the tool box setup (switches were much easier to see and access with that setup) but it should work fine, and having USB outlets that are always hot in the bed of the truck (with the flip of a switch of course) will be much nicer when the devices start dying at camp and I don't need to turn the trucks ignition on just to charge the damn phone. Right now this will be hooked up to the main battery but it will eventually get hooked up to the AUX when I go duals.

    Old setup:

^^ That's a video, Flickr doesn't really let you know you can click it and watch.

I plan on running ribbon lighting along the rack for bed lights and I have two small pods I can put in each ammo can for the "tool box lights". I will likely get the bed lights done first as they will be most useful to me.

Haven't looked at/updated this list in a while, gotta catch up.

Biggest priorities right now for the truck is banging out the lighting for the bed and installing the airbag setup. I would really really like to get the bags on the truck before a dual sport camp trip I have at the end of May.

Bike mod list got a nice dent taken out too including bonus mods:

    Build a new tool kit/roll
    Spare tubes/parts

    New LED front signals
    Rim locks
    SM front fender
    Removed Rekluse

    RSC Clutch Lever
    Black side plastics
    New graphics

    Looks good!

If you want power in the cab all the time it's easy to pull the relay and just make a jumper.

 It gets even harder for a while.

I was going good and then I got addicted to finishing truck mods and skipped the gym this week. Been doing it all in tiny pieces though so not going to bother posting an update till the wiring is all done and cleaned up.

I am guilty of that tooooo

"I'm just skipping one workout to get this wrapped up tonight"
next day: "ok, I'm skipping one more workout since I didn't get everything finished last night"
day 3: "uh...tomorrow's the day. I'm sure of it"
day 4: "fuck my body hurts from crawling around under the truck all week I'll take a rest day"

Dude all the time. And now since my time is even more limited with the baby it's even harder. But when I was going full dumb prepping the truck for NH when I raised the gas tank/boxed the frame/shock relocate/all the other bull shit I spent literally every morning and 2-3 hours a night twice a week working on it for a couple months straight. No gym at all with one focus of getting the truck done for that trip.

What size split loom did you use for the 2 gauge? Looks like 3/4” maybe?

Sadly I honestly can't remember. I remember having a bunch of slightly bigger loom and smaller loom but can't recall the sizes.

All of the existing mods from the old tool box have ben successfully migrated to the bed/ammo cans/new electrical hub.

That being said, the lighting is much more improved. Originally the bed lights were just sticky Amazon strips under the bed rails, hardly usable for full bed lighting especially when the bed was loaded with gear. The tool box lights were extremely usable but needed to be because of the raw size of the old tool box. Now with the pods the lighting is less usable but I think will be more than adequate considering the smaller size of the ammo cans.

I really took my time trying to make the bed light harness as professional looking as possible. I heat shrinked all the loom to make no loom look exposed and as far as routing and mounting the lights and wires, electrical tape and zipties were my best friend.

I did already have to replace the led toggle switch on the outside of the box due to rain. I never expected anything to be 100% waterproof but that switch burnt out after one rain storm. Now it's a straight mechanical switch with no led indicator. It even has a weather resistant rubber boot on it. Anyway enough yapping, here are some photos.

I snagged a pic of the lights at night with the soft top on. Once I get the back door made for the soft top I could realistically sleep in the bed or hang out in it in a pinch.

[IMG]Untitled by Michael Halat, on Flickr

Also never posted this, it's basically an additional tailgate strap that is bolted to the bed hooks. I unloop the regular tailgate support strap and loop this on when I want to keep the tailgate half closed. Works really well.

[IMG]Untitled by Michael Halat, on Flickr

Best part is I don't need to use a net tailgate, and I gain ground clearance by not having the tailgate completely open which is what ultimately wanted.
