Ok everyone, I attempted to install some D-Rings in the bed of my truck yesterday when I ended up stripped the inside of one of the screws since it was so tight.

Now, I was wondering if anyone has any other ideas to drilling some holes to install them? Back and Middle is where I'm wanting to install them since I have two already at the tailgate.

    Thanks.

People have drilled holes in the bed and mounted them in other locations. The only caveat is that they will not hold quite as well (they should still work just fine for most things), since the front bed bolts that are recommended for use in the DIY thread bolt directly to the frame. You also run the risk of additional rust any time you drill new holes in the bed, but that's easy to mitigate.

Hmm...all good options, I thought about the Rust factor too and there is a spray to deal with that. But...I don't like drilling any new holes into the truck if I don't have. The ARB tie is good too, fyi, the tie downs aren't for anything serious. Just to hold my cooler, camping boxes in place while driving so nothing hardcore. lol

Those I listed have been in my bed for 2 ish years now and no rust. Been siting under water for a few days also. And still moves easly. They have a zinc coating os similar

Another option is get a add in set that is similar to the swivel ones in the rear
