    so the other headlight was nicely packaged in the box and the other one was just kind of "thrown in"? thats what it looks like.

    That is what I was told. I bubble wrap each headlight, put in individual boxes, then put in bigger box that is completely filled with packing peanuts

    Thank you all for tuning in, here is an update. I've been working with the Balockay and he's informed me he'll refund me the difference it'll cost to do the repair. The resolution will work for me.
