    i have called 6 different shops to see what they would charge to get my camburg uni-ball UCA's installed and the cheapest quote i got is 247.50 for 2.5 hours labor!!!!!

    am i missing something here?!?!? isn't it basically 1 big bolt and pressing in the spindle?

    4.10 gears, sliders, and lots of buttons.
    Nothing needs to be pressed in. Remove the UCA bolt, and the ball joint bolt on the spindle. THEN, put new arms in place, re install UCA bolt, and tighten Unibal nut on the spindle to between 87 and 99 ft- lbs.

    i've heard that it can be a HUGE PITA to get the stock UCA off... to the point where people were cutting it, using hot/cold treatments...etc. may be too much to try and do "real quick"????

    I havent heard of these issues. I would think the worst case would be to simply loosen the body mounts, and jack the body off the frame a couple of inches to get the clearance.

    Prolly spot on-100 bucks an hours for labor. 2.5 hours. Adds up to me.

    It's not SIMPLE to take them off...but it's not doctorate degree thesis either. I used the "bend the sheet metal" technique...Worked out great.
