Kids are pretty spoiled! When i was 14, i was working at 4 am at the swapmeet. At 15 i worked two jobs and now earn a six figure income. You have to learn to appreciate the way things work.

    He went over the top.

She's 15. No shit she's going to be dramatic to her other teenage friends. Yeah the girl sounds like she just wants and wants and wants. But isn't that what *most* kids do?

I feel for her. I was just reading about that guy in WA. I cannot even begin to imagine how the lady who was supervising the visits of those kids must feel. I hope to god that she makes it out of this OK and that everything she needs is made available for her.

Back to this situation. Sadly, public perception dictates situations like this. Given what happened in WA, I would imagine there's a chance things could be expedited. idk.

15 yr. old girl Hannah commits suicide.... You don't want that to be front page news. What this father did, by posting it publicly, will deeply scar his daughter. I don't think her father meant the video to go viral, but to teach his daughter a lesson went a little too far. Nothing is private on the web.

ok, at the risk of getting flamed, i'll say this: it seemded kinda petty and wasteful to destroy the perfectly good laptop.. he could've just kept the laptop and gotten use out of it, given it to someone else, etc... my parents would've just beat the crap out of me..

...now, i also should ding him for the following:
    - no eyes
    - no ears
    - using JHPs instead of cheaper FMJs, would've had the same effect (which wasn't much anyway)
    - didn't place the call to report a dead attack laptop
    :D

This is true, that's why my feelings about it are kind of stuck in the middle. Every kid talks trash about their parents to their friends when they are mad. However, I do feel that as mainstream as Facebook has become in everyone's lives, posting what she did was pretty disrespectful.

I find it funny that my niece just posted this on FB saying how she agrees with him and wants to take parenting lessons from him. It was just maybe 2 years ago that she was the same daughter, bitching and fussing about her mom.

In my opinion the father did right by punishing the daughter. Destroying the laptop may have been a little over the top but the daughter got the point. He might have been able to sell it and recoup his losses but not very many people are going to pay very high for a used piece of electronics. If it were me I'd would have done just what he did I may have had the daughter shoot it herself just to pull in the point even more. What she posted was unbelievably disrespectful to her parents and the "cleaning lady." The daughter didn't learn her lesson the first time so the father made sure she did the second time.

He did everything right! I don't even have kids in my life, but if I ever do, when they hit the teen years if they get this way with me I would probably do something similar. When I was growing up one of my step brother's and my dad did not get along well and were having a huge dispute, so dad jacked up his truck on jack stands, took off all the tires and made him walk to and from the high school for like a month!

I disagree. Well... for most of the kids my age... I was never a want want want kid. I was always greatfull as hell for everything I got and didn't complain. Kids these days (even my 14 year old sister is like this) are all about the want and then bitch when something doesn't go their way.

hell I'm a 19 year old kid who has been through a lot with my parents over the years (mostly cause I was a lot like my father) and this video makes me want to be that kind of parent. cause many parents today (not every parent) give there kid anything to please them and hardly ever teach them hard work. I will say yes I have been very blessed through out my life and no I probably haven't expressed it like I should have. but at the end of the day I'll tell you my parents are some of the best parents a kid could ask for and a hell of a role model to look up to. but I say this dad's actions are completely justifiable and I applaud his actions.
