I've been gathering info off this site for a while. I finally decided to become a member. I decided to build a long travel 1st gen after being on many trips with my son. He has had a 2001 extended long Travel for a while. These are just too much fun. I will be posting info and photos of my very recent build shortly. Thanks for all the info so far.

Finally going try to finish my build page.

I found this 2004 DBLCB 4x4 in Carson City NV back in April 2015 with only 50547 miles.

Bought it unseen and picked it up on the trailer. It was like a Brand New 2004.

Since then I added a few accessories.

TRD Supercharger w/ URD 7th Injector
    Total Chaos LT Kit. Front
King coilers and Secondary Bypass shocks
    Mastercraft Baja RS sets
Dirt Designs 17' rear travel rear w. 3" quadruple bypass Fox shocks
FN 17x8 FX Pro Wheels Bronze w/ BFG KM2 285x75 17 Mud Terrains.
Advanced Fiberglass 4" wide front fenders
Advanced Fiberglass 4' wide Rear Fenders
Dan's Hoods S - Runner scooped Fiberglass Hood
    Tundra Big Brake upgrade

This is how it sits at the present.

All the Fab work and LT installation was done at Dirt Designs in Atascadero _storage_emulated_0_DCIM_Camera_20150418_125306.jpgIMG_3159.jpgIMG_3162.jpg_storage_emulated_0_DCIM_Camera_20180717_172936.jpg

Haven't had a problem with it so far. Us 1st Gens get a little more support from the inner bed. I probably don't rail it like some of you though. I'm still going to put an additional hold down bar though the bed rails. Bedsides don't seem to care.

were you able to mount that fiberglass hood without using pins? or is it just set on there for photos?

do you remember the park number on the shock up front?

Fiberglass hood has the stock style hood latch although I will probably also install pins for safety.
