For now it's just the spindle there, will be a long time before I get my shiz in order to fab up the actual swing out. Immediate next is dabbing up some kind of screw on cover that protects the threads and fights rust (some threaded and somewhat tight to retain some kind of oily film to fight rest)

Basically u loose blinkers with most of these bumpers. Some pay more to get cutouts for aftermarket little dinky LEDs, some cut a hole in their running lights and jb-weld the blinker socket into it (I was really liking this and was going to go this route) or some simply tie strap the or blinker housings (see this on tube bumpers mostly).

When I got the 2" Amber pod lights in, I figured there was a way to 'hack' a system where they can function as fog/running lights AND as blinkers. I added to that 200ohm resistors so when blinking they are dimmer.

So no cutting into running light housing, no tie strapping OEM housing. I do like how the running light / blinker light combos turn out though.

It looks like the way the oe ECU tells you the 3rd brake light bulbs are all fried is when you use your blinkers at freeway speed with tc locked it will through the TC unlocked. I replaced two of the bulbs and that 'electrical gremlin' I had been pondering about seems to be gone.

I really need to document stuff more- I'm envious of the time and energy some of these youtube guys have as I'd like to document my build much much better. But to answer your Q I went super cheapo on the ambers because my intention the whole time was that their primary purpose would be blinkers (as 99% of my driving is street) but can serve as dust lights when need be. So I got the cheapest on Ebay basically hedging my bet that they would not be as bright as advertised LOL.
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/2X-3Inch-1...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

I gave some of the vendors here a long look, but realized I actually want 'meh' lights at least to start with. These are "16 watt"... lolz
My math might be wrong but according to the below reading from my bench, its 6.5 watts, far from 16 watts haha. Even if they meant 16 watts combined (pair), meh, still a little short.

But like I said, I was actually betting on it.

I paired them up with 200ohm resistors for blinker mode to dim them even further.
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/25-50-100W...var=690992399498&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

And then this relay and fuse box to setup the Xor gate relay setup to give these ambers the ability to function as dust lights, blinkers, or both (turned on but still blinks when blinks or hazards used).

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/1-PC-6-Way...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

And the Light Bar is from Amazon- another affordable brand that is decently reviewed.

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00WE47RP6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

And then these connectors for the flying lead ends on both the ambers and light bar.
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01FP1HXHQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

    And then paranoidfab switch mount
    evPEOaFJKYcsGG12NzXUZ-E2R_aOV4RuNFS7_Z59_13d1fd2d06b43f29e39907364e7d97988206a6ba.jpg

I gotta lookup what switches I got again, and from where, but they let you customize the print, so the far right one is "S/C Bypass" which is another thread I made on how to plumb up a vacuum tank and 3 port solenoid to be able to "turn off" a supercharger when you want to.

Sweet. I think I'm going to order something cheap too. Screw those high end LEDs - I live in Long Beach so they wouldn't last long anyway lol
I'm going to hit you up soon because I'm planning on running flush reverse lights that I want to double as camp lights when setting up camp or whatever. I don't want to have to turn the key to on and shift into reverse every time. Thanks.

Oh yeah lol I didn't even document/take pics yet of my lights in the back. They are flush mount rigids. Relentless sent me rigids to make up for misconfiguring my tail hitch. So they are the only high end light on my rig haha.

Making the switch have constant on shouldn't be hard

    Did the shifter bushing refresh:

    OEMs where toast
    IMG_20200502_182103.jpg

Modified OEM blinker relay for LEDs but as another thread pointed out there is a smarter way of going about this mod, and more do just use the fixed times LED aftermarket ones. That said I have had the aftermarket installed and it's still faster than stock (just not hyper), I like stock's slower timing.

    IMG_20200501_161937.jpg

And to continue my electrical derpyness, with WFH my truck starts weaker and weaker the odds times I do need to drive, so a cheap eBay solar kit.

    Panel puts out about 20vdc
    IMG_20200516_150152.jpg

    IMG_20200516_150332.jpg

Cut the wires provided in order to use the panel, charge controller and adapters and slipped it up in the moon roof for testing.
    IMG_20200516_153129.jpg

Adapter plugged in with controller and no panel the battery read about 12v. Connect the panel and put under the windshield, 12.1 v. In direct sunlight, 12.2v. under the moon roof, 12.1v.

If it actually does good (go a week without driving and she cranks right over) I will work on a more permanent install plus a relay that opens up the controller circuit when I start/run the truck. Heck maybe even get a junked moon roof and try to make a larger better panel with the heaps of cells they have on eBay.

We will see what the next few days brings. I'm afraid it will actually be a drain overnight.

Long overdue adding of some LED resistors for the map lights to appease the body ECU.

I had some Amazon rear turn signal LEDs that just wouldn't fit, the LED part was just a mm too long or so and can't push the light in enough to turn and lock into the socket. Was tempted to dremmel it down...

I didn't know we had a vendor here for these things. I found @csjumper2003 , wouldn't have had to diy the resistors for the map lights. So got the cab light with a beefy resistor already installed and rear turn signals that fit.

Now most of my rig is led.
