    None (yet)
I don't have one (yet), but when I do, I don't plan to leave it in. The lot I park in every day has somewhat shallow parking spaces. As it is, I back in and have the tail end overhang the curb and it just fits. There's a fence right behind me and I think the ball would go right through it if I weren't careful.

I have one on right now, just a 2," but I have been towing a bit these last 2 weeks. A Dump trailer and a landscape trailer. BUT - I whacked my shin on it yesterday and almost threw it in the woods :annoyed:

In Alberta I have heard but am not positive it's against the law and if you get rear ended with one in you can be charged.

The only tow ball I have is connected to a weight distribution hitch and I'm not keeping that massive thing on the back of my truck all the time.

I thought of that, but as long as you anti seize the back end of the hitch I believe it would be fine

I use an 8" drop for my horse trailer, after I lifted my truck, so unless I need it to attach the trailer, it's kind of a major contraption hanging down there and could get hung up on something as soon as I leave pavement.

I keep mine in pretty much 24/7-365. Only time it's not is when I'm off road and then I have my d-ring shackle in. I have a single cab so I don't really have room for it in the cab because of my sub. Looking at making some sort of sliding bed box for storage to be able to empty out my storage cubbies by they are packed full

Saw a guy by me with one of these in the back of his Tacoma. Thought it was a great idea for tailgaters.

I run the Smittybilt Beaver Step 100% of the time when I'm not towing anything. Thing is super heavy duty and can be used as a recovery point in addition to being a step and protecting the bumper.

No, seriously. Have you tried it? Stick the little red sprayer tube into the key hole and squirt a bunch in. Let it sit for a while. Hopefully that will lossen it up.

Also, I would do some light taps with a hammer on the opposite side of the hitch. If yours is like mine, it barely fits and might be binding enough to prevent the lock from turning and releasing.

I used to leave mine on with a lock on my Tacoma but ran into this problem. Not anymore. I only add the ball mount and lock if taking a trip.

Your HF trailer has a 2 inch coupler? I thought those were all 1"7/8 ?

Not yet. That's why I said thanks. It came out easily when I last put the draw bar inside in December.

    Pulling horses.

Well that's one way to increase horsepower with these trucks, I guess.

Do those of you with the shackle leave the shackle on all the time? I have one, but keep it in a box until I need it. Others have said the bolt could come loose and fall off.
