Just wanted to post this up to help anybody else chasing rattles in their truck.

For the past six months I've had a metallic rattle/buzz that sounded like it was coming from the driver's side wheel well. Sounded like a bolt with a washer was loose. I chased all over the front for months and found nothing.

I was tightening my muffler clamp and greasing the driveline the other day and happened to bump my leaf pack and heard the noise! Turns out the bolts holding the spring keepers together have a sleeve riding over the bolt. The bolts loosen over time and let the sleeves rattle.

Check your spring keepers if you have a buzzing metallic rattle! And sound travels weird in these trucks.

Fair warning, don't over tighten them. If you do, you'll end up with strange "clunks" when transitioning over driveways, speed bumps, etc.

I found that the metal sleeve needs to be just slightly snug where it can move slightly. If you start getting clunks, look at these as a probable cause.
