Mine is the Inferno Off Road.
It sits almost 2.5 inches lower than factory with nothing in the bed. With the Old Man Emu lift kit I am installing the 888 front springs.

I'm going to do the back first. Just waiting for Fedex to show up with the Shocks. Just in case it actually goes back to original ride height +3 inches.

I'm still confused. How are you sitting 2.5" lower than factory when you are on factory suspension with only a shell?

Spring load from the shell and shitty factory springs.

Toyota leaf springs are notorious for flattening out even without load.

Totally factory on mine 8800 miles I bought it new.
That one next to mine is stock. Mine is an OR , for sure was way higher when I got it. Toyota looked at the rear end because it was making a noise when I start to drive because of Axle wrap. They said the "noise is not duplicateable and It has nothing wrong with it".

Nobody can answer this question for you. Go with the full pack first, and if it's too high remove a leaf, if it's too low add a leaf.

Because no one has installed Dakars on a tacoma before? It seems we have a large enough amount of people here to have a better baseline than doing the work possibly 3 times.

Sorry didn't mean to be flippant :)

My meaning is you're going to have weight and preference that only you can answer. Dakar's are the right choice, but dialing in you'll want to make judgement on when it's done. Doing the full pack let's you go up or down with surety at least.

Fed Ex is killing me. They brought the drive line drop spacer . No rear shocks yet and I have a 660 mile trip in the morning and bed weight on the way back. I had hoped to be able to break them in.

I have the same setup with the 888's. I kept my leaf pack in tact and it gave me a slight rake. I sit about 1" higher in the back and in my opinion I think it looks good. It will also benefit me if I were to decide to get an RTT. Not sure if this helps but I'm throwing it out there.

From the factory it had a rake. Is yours more raked than that? Do you have a picture?

Also do you max out the OME shocks when wheeling?
