    Well, since I'm constantly working on my truck, I wanted something reliable and fun to drive that wasn't one of my parents rigs...

    So, I picked up this 1997 4Runner with 155k on the ticker for $3000. It has a decent leak from the front main seal but other than that no other real issues. I already got the new seal and stuff on order to replace it and also do the timing belt at the same time. I'm going to do some other stuff to make it a little nicer like loosing the spacer lift and bald KM2s.

    Anyways... on to the pics!

    As of 10/5/2015:


    Specs:
    1997 T4R, SR5, 4x4,
    3.4 V6, 5-speed Manual

    The Good:
    Its a 4Runner...
    Only 155k on the bulletproof 3.4
    5-speed manual
    Clean Interior
    No other problems

    The Bad:
    Clear coat spots on the hood
    Dented driver side fender
    Missing Lower Bumper Valance
    Spacer lift
    Bald Mud Tires

    Front Suspension:
    Stock with 2" Spacer :puke:

    Rear Suspension:
    Who Knows...

    Wheel & Tires:
    285/75R16 Bfg KM2s
    Plasti-Dipped Stock Wheels

    Future Plans - In order:
    Full Detail

    A more moderately sized A/T tire

    I could... But I don't see the need for it to have 285s haha. They already rub. But the 4.30 could handle it I mean damn!
    Bothel. Yeah they're all over 7 grand with over 200k! People are just scared of buying something with a leak I guess ;)

    Bummed it's not a TRD but I'm not wheeling it lol
    I may actually cut my teeth on body work and paint a rock auto hood with a skewp. I got a full spray booth with lots of HVLP guns... I can't possibly do a worse job than the peeling clear coat already haha

    I was just stating my ideal t4r. I'd love to wheel a 3Rd gen t4r with skewp and locker, of course v6 and 4x4. Maybe sun roof, manual and supercharger and 4.30 gears

    Careful with the back window going down, it's notorious for going down and not coming up haha my uncle had a 3rd gen with that problem and my dad had a 1st gen with it
