Hey Dallas Peeps! Picked up my first Tacoma back in December and love the truck so far. Here's a pic from a couple weeks ago at Bridgeport.

The club putting it on Toyota Trail Riders is based in DFW so quite a few. @tgormtx @chodaman54 are the former president and current president of the club. There's a few peeps coming from DFW.

Any of you people ever done the custom car grills insert into their grill? I've got it all apart and cut, but at a loss as why it won't fit. Unless I need to cut more. Would like a 2nd set of eyes on it if possible

Not the most exciting pics yet, but I'm stoked.

Got a great deal on an ARB from a member down in Houston, having it installed tomorrow.
Just need to pay some bills and get me a winch eventually.

    You know I will.

It was down in Houston, had to make a quick trip but it was still close to half price. Seems there is quite a bit more on Craigslist in Houston as opposed to here.

    20151107_142417.jpg

I did the homer taco grill cut out method and placed the insert in to that cut out. i used zip ties to hold it in place and used GOOP to mount it.

Read through the threads in the URD forum, lots of good info backed by dyno runs. Long tubes lose the forward cats and are generally not CARB legal and will require O2 simulators. Short tubes keep the forward cats and may be CARB legal depending on brand.

Acording to dynos, URD equal length long tube for gains throughout the RPM range. Thorley long tubes for top end gains but at the expense of low end. Thorley short tubes have less gains but no losses. Other companies short and long should be similar but there is less dyno info availabke to compare.

I personally am on the fence about pulling the trigger on a DT short and a URD y pipe but the performance increases are small for a grands worth of upgrades that can be spent elsewhere. My truck is more for crawling and the power increases aren't the best use of money.
