So I have a 2010 very well maintained Tacoma TRD sport 63k total miles. No heavy towing, never smoked in. Seat covers and weathertechs, always dealer maintained. And then some 60 year old man rear ends my truck at a stoplight. So I have kept all my records and photos, but I am curious about what fellow Tacoma owners would look for in damage if buying or how much they would tak off price for record of crash? Truck has been repaired by insurance andthe work is top notch, but their is always that accident history. The damage was only to bumper tailgate, lights nothing on frame and truck drives good as new...

Curious to hear comments or suggestions

If you were able to show the repair work order showing the damage was cosmetic and did not involve the frame, drivetrain etc, I personally wouldnt expect more than $1000 off the value of a never damaged truck. That said people will use the crash as an excuse to get it for the cheapest price they can. As such they would want a lot more off whether its justified or not.

Why would you want or need an offset? 6 year old truck repaired to good as new. It only had bumper, sheetmetal and plastics damaged.

Did you receive a "diminished value" sum in addition to the repair cost?

No dimunition of value. Looking for what other people buying a good Tacoma would be looking for.
