damn, engine oil pan is punctured

    OME and worth every penny.
    I wasn't even thinking straight. laughs. Cooped up too long.

    But yes, if you search a few threads of people doing oil pumps or resealing pans, They say dropping the diff. is actually easier than it sounds.

    Don't feel bad. Lots of pans leak from the seal going bad.

    Once Toyota dealer bugger a thread on the oil plug for simple oil change job they had to replace the oil pan on their dime. The document showed about 140 dollars for parts and over 900 dollars for labor. That was in 2008 or so.

    yes, you have to remove front differential. Only three big bolts though
    There is also the possibily to lift the engine a bit, but as someone said, it will still be pretty tight to get the old one out and the new one in. I removed the differential as it was simpler

    and as an update to this thread, everything is good and still holding strong on the truck:thumbsup:
