We had a dump of 15cm of snow overnight. This morning it is -39 celsius out there. Vehicles stuck or not going anywhere.

My truck had no issues at all. I still cant understand when we live up north why people think they can buy rear wheel drive sportscars and drive them in the winter. I saw two mustangs going nowhere and a new camero stuck.

Retardness ??? :notsure: Same problem here. Over years people went to save money on gas so they traded their gas guzzling 4x4 for 2wd. Now everytime it snows all roads just turn into parking lots. People burn more fuel than driving 4x4 year round but math is not a strongest subject for majority. I ignore stuck 2wd's and pretend I am driving in summer with music volume up.

Agreed, -39 here today too, truck still fires up and gets me to where I need to go. Feels like driving on square tires tho!

It's so cold the doors on our 4Runner aren't even closing completely, the latches close too slow and only catch on the safety, apparently the grease in the latches is a bit thick, lol. Still drives like a champ too though.

Agreed. I've owned three mustangs, one of which is sitting pretty in my garage right now. Although my new one will never see snow, my old stangs did. They are the worst vehicles I've ever driven in the snow. That's why I bought a Taco to aid in poor weather.:D

In college my dad drove a 69 Mustang Mach 1 to and from college, even in the winter, a Montana winter mind you. He just had studded snow tires, and some sand bags in the trunk and had zero problems, just gotta know how to drive in the stuff. Before my Tacoma I had a 74 Chevy Monte Carlo with a 454 big block V8 and with studded snow tires, that thing was practically unstoppable in the snow! But overall, I would prefer to have a 4x4 just because it is fun to go bust through drifts! XD

Speaking of snow and 2wd vs. 4wd.... we went to the mountains a couple weeks ago and ended up taking my wife's car (gas mileage), but ended up getting stuck on the somewhat steep snowy drive way. I was kicking myself for not bringing the Taco even though it is 2wd.

Have you guys had any issues with just the 2wd limited slip on snow/ice?

I had a lowered Civic before my Tacoma and didn't get stuck once in the snow. Just stuck to the main routes and I was fine.
