The good ole days when one could collect / find/ steal ( did I say that) pop bottles and go to the local market and fill up on pop, candy, and cigarettes.

 

My first concert was Triumph in '78 at 14 Rush the next year then 80s punk. 90s music is lost on me. I think I was too busy raising kids and working.

 

Me too! Born in 93, and I can't stand most of the kids our age and younger. Or their taste in music.

I do rock, metal, and country, none of this rap and hip-hop BS. Can't stand it. I mostly listen to the music my dad always played when I was growing up- Led Zeppelin, Queen, Jimmy Buffett, Supertramp, the Eagles, etc. With some of my own stuff thrown in- Metallica, A7X, Nirvana, Brad Paisley, Toby Keith, Eric Church, etc.

But like you, I also grew up listening / playing Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, STP, Alice in Chains, Pink Floyd, Temple of the Dog, Blind Melon, Sublime, Brad, Etc... on my guitar. Started playing when I was 14 and wanted to play like David Gilmour (who doesn't?) but never achieved anywhere near his talent.

I can retire when I'm 51 and I'll be Colorado Springs bound.
